GOP Incheon 2026 Paradise City Opens, Main Event Guarantees 700 Million KRW
Asia's emerging live poker tour, Gods of Poker (GOP), is landing in Incheon. GOP will host GOP Incheon 2026, under the subtitle "The Prophecy Unfolds," for ten days from May 15th to 24th at the Paradise City Casino in Incheon. The Main Event buy-in is 2.2 million KRW with a guaranteed prize pool of 700 million KRW, and over 25 trophy events will run concurrently during the same period.
Although GOP is a new tour launched at the end of 2025, it has quickly established itself as a major player in the Asian poker scene. Founder Lloyd Fontillas, who served as a long-time Tournament Director for APT (Asian Poker Tour), is leading this Incheon stop, which is the third of GOP's six Asian festivals scheduled for 2026. Following the successful "The Coiled Path" series held from March 26th to April 5th in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, international attention is now focused on the Incheon stop.
The Main Event will feature GOP's proprietary "Cronus Structure." This structure is designed to ensure ample play depth in critical late-game situations, based on deep stacks, and is praised for rewarding skill and patience over pure luck. All events will use the Big Blind Ante format, and in addition to No-Limit Hold'em, Omaha and Short Deck events are also scheduled as trophy events. The winners will receive a limited edition "Prophecy Trophy" embodying the GOP mythology.
The venue, Paradise City, is an integrated resort exclusively for foreigners located right next to Incheon International Airport. Free shuttle buses, running every 20-30 minutes from both terminals, connect to the casino. Entry is restricted to foreign nationals aged 19 and over; Korean residents, even those with permanent residency, require separate proof of residence. All buy-ins are settled exclusively in Korean Won.
GOP Incheon 2026 holds significance beyond just a one-time festival.
Firstly, as a festival operating in a casino exclusively for foreigners, this event serves as an indicator of whether Korea can become a hub for Asian poker capital movement. With Poker Dream 22 concluding in Jeju, Korea, in May, and TLPT Jeju opening on the same day, May 15th, a key point to watch is how much distributed demand GOP Incheon can attract to the Incheon/Seoul line.
Secondly, GOP will visit Incheon again. The "The Labyrinth Trail" series is scheduled to be held again at the same Paradise City from October 30th to November 8th, so the success of this May stop will directly impact the success of the subsequent festival.
This year's Main Event winner will not only receive a share of the 700 million KRW guaranteed prize pool but also GOP Season Leaderboard points and a path to the GOP Season Final "The Olympus Return," held at LES A Casino in Jeju in December. The champion will be decided on May 24th, the final day of the Main Event.
